Professor Ion Păvăloiu at his 80’th anniversary

Professor Ion Păvăloiu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of this Journal, has turned 80 on November 2nd, 2019. His anniversary was celebrated at the Institute and we mark it also here.

Since his previous celebration in vol. 44 (2015) no. 1 – when he turned 75 – he has served the Institute as Senior Researcher I for another year and a half (between 2017–2019). He has published some papers (in 2016 and 2018), and a book (in 2017), and has attended the conferences organized by the Institute, as an active researcher, at an impressive age.

He has also prepared some manuscripts, as well as a further book.

We are grateful to him for his devotion to the Institute, which he conducted over three decades (1975–1990, as team leader, and 1990–2007, as Head of the Institute), and where he spent 53 years, doing research and tutoring researchers that continued the tradition of the Institute.

We wish him a healthy and joyful life!
