Abstract

Within the framework of the inverse problem of Dynamics, we consider the following question with reference to the motion of one material point: Find the two-dimensional homogeneous potentials (of any degree m), which allow the particle to move, under suitable initial conditions, on single straight lines given in advance. We offer examples which cover all the cases which arise during the study.
